Richard H. Vögeli holds the following positions: Chairman of CarbonRe AG in Zug Switzerland, Managing Partner of IN-VI Holding AG in Zug and Chief Executive Officer of the IN6VI Group, Chairman of Mawera (Canada) Ltd in British Columbia, Canada, and Board Member of PRS Prime Re Solutions in Switzerland.

Richard is an entrepreneur who brings more than 30 years of broad-based international experience in the energy, insurance and structured finance industries to the table. Between January 2001 and December 2004, he successfully built up and exited from Global Risk Strategies, a private equity firm specializing in the purchase of insurance claim assets arising from asbestos, environmentaland other historic liabilities.

Prior to joining Global Risk, Richard structured innovative risk financing solutions for the insurance industry and spent 14 years with world reinsurance leader Swiss RE. As a director of Swiss Re, he managed an international team of marketers and finance specialists to develop new innovative solutions for the energy industry. He was the main driver bringing Swiss Re on the map as a leader for the energy industry. Prior to joining Swiss Re, Richard worked in the chemical and pharmaceutical industries in research and development.

Richard received a certificate of Management Studies at the Advanced Management Program Oxford University, Great Britain, 1997; PhD in Chemistry, University of Oregon, 1984; BA in Chemistry, University of Oregon, 1981.


Dirk P. Kohler is the Chief Executive Officer of the CarbonRe AG in Zug and Managing Director of the GSDP Global Sustainable Development Project S.A.R.L. in Lisle sur Tarn, France. Dirk is an internationally recognized expert in sustainable development and has 18 years of experience in risk management and insurance.

In 1998 he initiated GSDP GERLING Sustainable Development Project “to move GERLING Group of Insurance Companies into visionary fostering of sustainable development” (World Resource Institute). Dirk has taken over GSDP through Management Buy Out in 2003 and structured Carbon Delivery Guarantee in 2005. He is member of the United Nations Environment Program Finance Initiative’s climate change working group. Dirk has a back-ground in applied economics and environmental- and risk management. Prior to joining GERLING, Dirk held political functions in Germany and was member of the NATO “future leaders of the alliance” program.
